Akagi (anime) - awesome 'dark' mahjong psychological thriller despite rough art style...

...which unusually seems like the only style it would look good with now that I've finished it. I'd say the only 'bad moves' in this anime were some particular expositions, which effectively lulled me to sleep at some points - they even had some episodes completely dedicated to this >_>. It certainly is a complete 180 in terms of atmosphere compared to previous mahjong related works that I've seen (i.e. Saki), but somewhat does a better job of explaining their thoughts behind plays. Despite this, after 26 episodes, I still have no idea how to play Mahjong xD - that said, Akagi is a great watch even if you have no prior knowledge of mahjong - it's simply a medium for the psychological content, which is brilliant.
